day-to-day pregnancy

Kate ate like a piggy on her first Thanksgiving. She tried a bit of everything, and only rejected cranberries. Then she took a very long nap in the afternoon, just like Daddy.

This blog might soon be transfered back to the old address. I apologize in advance for the inconvenience.

On a separate note, Kate had a lot of fun at my birthday party chasing the dog around the pool table.

Kate stands on her own very often now, holding on to whatever she can, and taking a few hesitant steps if we hold her hands. We think she is teething again because she started chewing on the bars of her crib. Her nanny compared her to a rabbit.

We took Kate out to dinner tonight and she was a little lady, charming and elegant, if a bit messy with the food :) She tried my fish and some aspargus, and gave limes a try (with funny results). She's been really getting into music. Even with the noise at the restaurant, she could hear the songs playing in background and would dance to the rythym, using a straw as if she were conducting an orchestra.

Speaking of Hallowen, we dressed her up as a cow. I had bought the outfit months ago thinking it would be huge and she barely squeezed in.

It's been a while because I've been traveling a lot. Kate is doing great, already standing up on her own (although she often requires a little help) and holding on to things for minutes. She continues to have great interest in glasses, and finds it hilarious when David puts on my sunglasses. She is starting to reject the baby food and has moved on to real food, enjoying wheat bread, tomatoes, cheese and fruits. She never did like juice, so we give her lots of water instead. David gave her a french fry while I was away, and one night while I was distracted she attacked a bag of m&ma from Halloween.
